dive into an adventure that encourages critical thinking, creativity, compassion, and making informed decisions in our ever-changing world. We encourage participants to embrace their roles as change-makers and advocates for a vibrant and caring community.

At World Building Camp, we use social science, history, theology, writing, and philosophy to inspire young minds. This camp will empower you with the skills and mindsets to craft your ideal future. Together with your peers, you’ll explore, brainstorm, and bring to life a brand new country. From inventing a cool name and drafting your very own constitution to designing a new map and tackling exciting challenges like city planning, this camp is your canvas for creative expression.

Discover the joy of collaborative learning and the thrill of envisioning a utopia – a “perfect world.” World Building is not just a camp; it’s an immersive learning experience where you’ll make friends, explore endless possibilities, and set the stage for your own future adventures. Unleash your imagination and join us for a week of fun, friendship, and forging a world of your own!

Lunches are provided.

  • This camp is about taking what you know and expanding upon it. We want you to bring your own ideas, knowledge, and passions.
  • We’ll have indoor and outdoor sessions. We allow campers to lead how they want to use our space. Is it a beautiful summer morning? We can spend it in our outdoor classroom.
  • All campers will participate in a showcase where they will discuss their “utopias” with friends and family. Campers will practice their public speaking skills and grow their confidence with presentations.

All of the USF Discovery Academy experiences are designed and taught by USF educators. Participants will get to experience life on a college campus and learn about future careers.

World Building Camp introduces participants to a broad range of skills and concepts for thinking about values, technology, and how we live together in community. Participants will learn about:
